Being a Woman is poetry.  
One moment at a time, we grow into your heart.
Mother earth is flourishing to create goddesses. 
We who overcome attacks.
Birth new generations into love and healing.  
Understand the pain felt by men, and exhibit vulnerable strength.  

Pouring out so much needed healing. 
There is no way to explain how we do what we do. 
Just like weeds that come out of cement.
We find a way.  
We grow taller than you as sunflowers.  
We appreciate light, water, and the necessities that every life needs.  

This is who we are.  
This is who we were built to be.  
We had an option to give up, but we didn’t.
Instead, we embraced healing.
We blossomed.
Now we flourish.
