Meet the Artist Martha Wade at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Chicago

  • Starbucks Chicago Reserve Roastery (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

I have been working on an exciting collaboration with Starbucks for over a year, and can finally announce the big news! This is my first big merchandising deal, and it’s so exciting.

We created 5 products in this Chicago collection in the theme of generational empowerment: a jean jacket, ceramic tumbler, sketchbook, tote bag, and fine art print.

Limited Edition Fine Art Prints

I wanted to create a collection that was special, and embodied my love of Chicago. One of my fondest memories growing up was our family bike rides with dad along The Lake. I incorporated that feeling into the collection of art for this project. I have to say, working with Starbucks was such a wonderful experience.

I am pleased to invite my friends and followers to our first artist meet ‘n greet this Sunday. These products are available at the downtown Roastery location only, and for a limited time!

CONNECT WITH YOUR LOCAL MUTUAL AID HUB

Around the globe, communities have been responding to the COVID-19 pandemic by creating hyper-local “mutual aid” networks. Volunteers find out what neighbors need—like a prescription pick up, groceries, or PPE—and organize to provide that service. At a time of economic hardship for many, this is a way for community members to go beyond financial contributions and take care of people’s needs directly.

Check out this map to find your community mutual aid hub and volunteer to help.

If there isn’t already a hub where you live, consider starting one yourself. Here’s a guide from ioby, an organization led by Obama Foundation Fellow Erin Barnes, with steps to set up a simple mutual aid system where you live.
